You want to go to an event but all the tickets have already been sold… Well it’s not too late ! Thanks to the waiting list, you still have a chance to get your ticket.
I want to know how to join the waiting list
You can join the waiting list by following these steps :
- Open the Shotgun app and go to the event page.
- On the bottom of the page, click on the button “Join waiting list”
- You then have to choose between two options :
- “Join with auto-pay” : as soon as a ticket is available for you, your card will be automatically charged and your ticket will be generated. You will also receive an order confirmation by email. Pay attention to the price range indicated when you join the waiting list, make sure that whatever ticket is bought it is a price you’re ready to pay.

- “Join without auto-pay” : as soon as a ticket is available for you, you will receive a notification. You then have 20 minutes to accept the ticket and complete the payment : don't forget to activate your notifications ! If you change your mind, you can enable autopay at any moment.
I want to know how the waiting list works
When you join the waiting list, you are added at the end of it : the earlier you join, the higher your ranking, the greater your chances to get a ticket ! Joining with auto-pay also increases your chances to get a ticket : users who activate auto-pay rank higher than those who don’t.
⚠️ Keep in mind that you are not guaranteed to find a place by signing up on the waiting list, it depends on the number of people reselling their tickets, and the number of people in line on the waiting list.
I can’t find the waiting list for the event I want to attend
⚠️ Reminder : → The waiting list is only available on the Shotgun app, not on the website.
There can only be a waiting list if the organizers enabled resale and transfer for their event. If you can’t find any indication leading you to the waiting list, it simply means that resale and transfer are disabled so the waiting list isn’t available for this particular event.
It sometimes happens that organizers release a few more tickets after the event is already sold-out : you can check the event page from time to time in case this happens !
If you decide to buy a Shotgun ticket outside the platform, please be careful to secure your transaction as much as possible. In the case of fraud, we won’t be able to help you if we have no trace of the transaction.
