Did the event take place, but not exactly as advertised? Did the lineup, venue, schedule, or delivery of the event differ from what was announced? This article explains what you can do in these situations.
⚠️ Important:
- If the event was canceled or postponed, see: The event was cancelled or postponed.
- If a refund has already been agreed between you and the organizer but you're still waiting to receive it, see: I haven't received my refund.
- If you received a refund, but the amount is lower than expected, see: My refund is incomplete.
👉 Who is responsible for the event?
The organization, management, and delivery of the event are the responsibility of the event organizers.
This includes aspects such as the lineup, artists and performers, schedule, venue, access and safety conditions, services provided, and other aspects of the event experience.
Shotgun provides the digital platform used to promote events and sell tickets and, when necessary, can help you get in touch with the organizer to address issues related to the event.
That's why, when something happens differently from what was advertised, the organizer is in the best position to assess what happened and let you know what solutions may be offered, such as a refund or compensation.
👉 What can you do?
Contact the organizer directly through your ticket. This way, your request will be linked to your order and sent to the person responsible for organizing the event.
Explain what happened in as much detail as possible. Include the date of the event, what was advertised, what actually happened and, if applicable, what solution you would like to receive.
For more details, see: How can I contact the event organizer?.
⚠️ Reminder: changes can be just as unexpected for the organizer as they are for you. After contacting them, give them some time to assess the situation and communicate a solution.
