You bought a ticket, but you see two Shotgun charges on your bank account?
Here are a few things you can check and how to proceed.
👉 I see two charges, but only one order
You see two Shotgun charges on your bank account, but you've only found one order.
First, make sure there isn't a second order under another Shotgun account or email address.
This could have happened if you:
- Tried to complete the purchase more than once, for example through the app and the website;
- Used a different Shotgun account, either your own or one belonging to a friend or family member;
- Used your card to buy a ticket for someone else;
- Asked someone else to make the purchase using your card.
Check the inboxes associated with any Shotgun accounts you may have used and look for order confirmation emails around the date of the purchase.
Each completed order has its own order number, so if you find two different confirmation emails or order numbers, go to “I see two charges and two different orders” below.
If you've checked these possibilities and can only find one order, the second charge may be a temporary authorization from your bank to verify that your card is valid. It isn't necessarily a second payment. These authorizations usually disappear automatically within a few hours or days.
If the second charge is still showing after 14 days, check with your bank whether both payments were actually processed.
If you're still seeing two charges that were actually processed after these checks, contact the Shotgun Care team so we can investigate.
What we need from you:
- The last 4 digits of the card used for the payment;
- The exact order amount (for example, write “$65.34” rather than “$65”);
- The date of the order.
👉 I see two charges and two different orders
You see two Shotgun charges on your bank account and have found two separate orders.
This can happen for different reasons, such as a typo in the email address used for the first order, accidentally creating a second Shotgun account, having your card saved on someone else's account, or making the purchase more than once.
The Shotgun Care team can review what happened on a case-by-case basis.
If you intentionally bought both tickets and simply no longer need one of them, you can resell the ticket if resale is available for that event.
See: I want to resell my ticket.
Otherwise, contact the Shotgun Care team so we can look into the two orders.
What we need from you:
- The order numbers of both purchases;
- The email address used for each order;
- The last 4 digits of the card used for the payments;
- The exact amount of each order (for example, write “$65.34” rather than “$65”).
